Body Sculpting: The CoolAdvantage

Aspen, Colo. – The new CoolAdvantage applicator series for CoolSculpting provides faster treatments and greater patient comfort, said Vic A. Narurkar, M.D., at the summer Cosmetic Bootcamp (CBC). He is founder and director of the Bay Area Laser Institute, chairman of dermatology at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, and a CBC cofounder and director.

The CoolAdvantage applicator series features a contoured cup cooling surface that achieves cooler temperatures more quickly. These applicators (one each for the abdomen, flanks and inner thigh) shave treatment times to 35 minutes and provide a more comfortable patient experience, he said.

“We have incorporated the CoolAdvantage applicators into my practice. And my nurse practitioner loves them. Treatment takes less time, patients are happy, and we can get more people in and out the door.” The shorter treatment also results in much less bruising, with equivalent efficacy to the original applicators, he said.

“For those who have CoolSculpting in your practice, I strongly encourage you to designate a CoolSculpting ambassador. Train your staff well. They will be your best allies” for promoting the procedure.
