Aspen, Colorado – The cadaver dissection course will jumpstart this summer’s Cosmetic Bootcamp (CBC) with a focus on safe injection techniques. The session takes place on Thursday, June 22, 2:30-5:00 PM at the St. Regis Aspen.
Course moderator Rod J. Rohrich, M.D., says, “We’re going to talk about patient safety, emphasizing how to inject fillers not only accurately, but also precisely, while respecting the anatomy of the entire face, with all its potential danger zones because it’s heavily vascularized.” He is a distinguished teaching professor and founding chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and a founding partner in the world-renowned Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute (DPSI).
The 6 anatomic danger zones include the glabella, temples, infraorbital area, perioral area, nose and nasolabial folds. With fresh cadaver dissection and live patient injections in each of these areas, “We’ll show attendees how to inject the variety of fillers – with a focus on safety and natural-looking outcomes. The key is to do it safely and smartly, knowing where the anatomy is. Our goal is to enhance patient safety and outcomes.”
