Napa, Calif. — At the fall Cosmetic Bootcamp (CBC), attendees learned that some nonphysician providers may have difficulty understanding how they’re paid.
The first-ever survey of nonphysician aesthetic provider compensation showed that with variables including salary, hourly pay, commissions, bonuses and benefits, virtually every respondent gave a different answer, said Mary Beth Hagen. She is CEO/founder of survey sponsor TITAN Aesthetic Recruiting.
The survey targeted U.S.-based NPs, RNs and PAs whose practice consisted of at least 50% neuromodulators and fillers. Less than half of the potential respondents who clicked into the survey completed it. Several providers later told Ms. Hagen they didn’t know enough about how they got paid to answer the questions. “This shows the need to have more compensation conversations to help injectors and physicians understand the complexities of aesthetic compensation.”
