Aspen, Colo. – At the summer Cosmetic Bootcamp (CBC), cosmetic surgeons, dermatologists and other core aesthetic specialists discussed the power of feminine rejuvenation treatments and technologies.
“We’re not talking about rejuvenation – it’s female health,” said Suneel Chilukuri, M.D. He is a Houston-based cosmetic and Mohs surgeon in private practice.
Patients have told him they never wear light-colored pants for fear of urinary leakage that they’re often unaware of until it’s too late. “When a patient like this comes to us, it’s powerful to see the results that occur. We’ve been able to test 4 different devices in our office over the past couple years.”
Before agreeing to perform the procedure, “I want to make sure that everybody goes to their gynecologist for a Pap smear and any other necessary care.” He’s tried to find local gynecologists to whom he can refer patients with vaginal laxity and related complaints. “The problem we’re finding in our area is that often, the gynecologists are not quite as technologically advanced,” and few of them have the necessary equipment.
