Dr. Lloyd is a board certified dermatologist who practices the full spectrum of dermatology including laser and cosmetics, skin cancer management including Mohs surgery and cosmetic reconstruction, medical dermatology and phlebology.
She graduated from UCLA Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, received her medical degree from The University of Vermont College of Medicine, and did her dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX where she was Chief resident. After residency she did additional training in laser and cosmetic dermatology, the treatment of venous disease, Mohs surgery and cosmetic reconstruction at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA.
After training, she went into private practice at Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in Encinitas, CA. She is also a staff physician at Scripps Encinitas Memorial Hospital, in Encinitas, CA and at Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, CA.
Dr. Lloyd has published over 15 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals on various topics in the medical and cosmetic dermatologic literature, and recently co-authored a textbook chapter on Laser – Tissue interaction. She has presented at many academic meetings including the annual meeting for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. She has participated in multiple clinical trials in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Her research is focused on the treatment of skin cancer in organ transplant patients and on increasing skin cancer awareness among transplant physicians.
Dr. Lloyd is a firm believer in providing her patients with the most effective, evidence based dermatologic care in both the medical and aesthetic realm.
