Board-certified Dallas dermatologist Dr. Kristel Polder graduated with honors from Texas A&M University and attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She graduated in the top 4% of her class and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, a Harvard teaching affiliate in Boston. Dr. Polder completed a dermatology residency at The University of Texas Houston Department of Dermatology/MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident during her senior year.
Dr. Polder specializes in general medical dermatology, laser procedures, facial rejuvenation, injectables, and non-surgical body contouring. Dr. Polder educates dermatology residents through hands-on filler and botulinum toxin injection workshops. She regularly lectures to residents and medical students and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Department of Dermatology as well as Baylor Department of Dermatology Dallas.
Dr. Polder has served as an investigator on several clinical trials, including studies examining the efficacy and safety of lasers as well as topical and oral treatments for a variety of dermatologic conditions. She is co-author of the book Beautiful Skin Revealed: The Ultimate Guide to Better Skin, available at www.barnesandnoble.com and www. amazon.com. She has served as a two-time Co-Director for the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s Fillers and Injectables Workshop, and is a national trainer and speaker for Allergan and Galderma.
