Aspen, Colo. — At the most recent Cosmetic Bootcamp (CBC), attendees learned the difference between traditional moisturizers and Ha5 Rejuvenating Hydrator.
Ha5 represents a new chapter in hydration, said Jeanine Downie, M.D. Traditional moisturizers increase cutaneous water levels by temporarily blocking evaporation, she explained. “An epidermal hydrator, which is what Ha5 is, increases cutaneous water levels by actively restoring our own endogenous production of hyaluronic acid by epidermal cells. It works more efficiently, and that’s why it hydrates longer.”
The average moisturizer moisturizes for around 2 to 3 hours. “Ha5 moisturizes for up to 8 hours, which I believe is very significant.” The product is supported by 5 clinical studies. Its ingredients include a hyaluronic acid-binding protein. Dr. Downie is a Montclair, New Jersey-based dermatologist.
