FOUNDER
Dr. Lupo revolutionized the field of non-surgical skin rejuvenation by introducing new combinations of procedures. On top of being a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Lupo is also a clinical professor of dermatology at Tulane University School of Medicine, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and founder of Cosmetic Bootcamp.
Dr. Montes is an established master injector being recognized among the nations’ top injectors. In 2016, he received an Achievement Award as well as a Continuing Education Recognition from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. As a Professor of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, Dr. Montes has been mentoring students at the Río Piedras Medical Center.

Dr. Ablon is an associate clinical professor at UCLA, a board certified aesthetic dermatologist and the founder Ablon Skin Institute and Research Center.

Dr. Beer is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist focused on general, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. Although his decades of experience have given him practice with many “ologies”, today he is considered to be one of the leading experts in dermatology and facial rejuvenation. Dr. Beer is a founder of Cosmetic Bootcamp, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami.
Diane S. Berson is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and an Assistant Attending Dermatologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She has a private dermatology practice in NYC focused on medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous oncology.
Dr. Gaurav Bharti MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon and co-owner and partner at H/K/B specializing in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Bharti believes that plastic surgery requires a balance of compassion, understanding and technical skill. As a plastic surgeon doctor, Dr. Bharti performs a full range of cosmetic procedures under both general and local anesthesia, including breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, mommy makeovers, breast revision surgery, body contouring, liposuction, tummy tucks, facial surgery, and vaginal rejuvenation surgery.
Dr. Cook is the first Australian dermatologist to create a cosmeceutical skincare line. Her key areas of interest are Cosmetic and laser dermatology, Skin cancer, cosmeceutical and cosmetic science and ageing. Dr Cook is a member of the Australasian College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology and is a Key Opinion Leader and lecturer in injectables, skin and facial ageing and laser dermatology.
Dr. Day is a clinical associate professor of dermatology at the New York University Langone Medical Center. Her success in this role has been recognized with the award for Dedication and Excellence in the Teaching of Dermatology. This honor, along with her continued affiliation with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, demonstrates that Dr. Day is dedicated to lifelong learning. She shares her knowledge by regularly lecturing nationally and internationally, both to her peers and to the public on the latest in aesthetic dermatology techniques.
Dr. Downie is a sought-after lecturer and author of several dozen scientific papers. She has spoken on behalf of some of the most renowned medical societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, The Skin Cancer Foundation, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Downie proudly services as an educator for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She has also provided focused training on injectibles and fillers and has been a longstanding faculty member on Allergan’s National Exchange Forum.
Dr. Steven Fagien is one of the foremost oculoplastic surgeons in the United States and the world. He completed his medical training at the University of Florida and a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He has authored over 350 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, served on the editorial board of the Journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and penned his own bestselling textbook on Cosmetic Oculoplastic Surgery. Dr. Fagien is an internationally recognized world authority in aesthetic eyelid surgery and cosmetic injectable treatments and he has been featured in Vogue, Allure, New Beauty, The New York Times, and W magazine.
Dr. Grunebaum has over 15 years of experience as a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She is double board certified In Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She was the co-division chief of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine before joining the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Grunebaum is an internationally renowned authority and sought-after speaker in the field of minimally invasive approaches to facial beauty and rejuvenation.
Dr. Anna Guanche, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon specializing in cosmetic procedures that have minimal down-time and excellent results. She has been in practice for over 10 years. Her practice is Bella Skin Institute in Calabasas, where she has assembled her dream “derm” team of professionals to care for the concerns of celebrities, CEOs and Supermoms. She cares for all types of skin conditions with a special emphasis in the areas of cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. She aids in the teaching of residents and medical students.
Carolyn I. Jacob, M.D. is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, Harvard-Trained Cosmetic and Laser Surgeon, and an Associate Clinical Instructor at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She is the Founder and Medical Director of Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
Kian Karimi MD, FACS is a world-renowned facial plastic surgeon and head and neck surgeon, who is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. He is considered one of the nation’s top facial plastic surgeons and an innovator in advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments.
Dr. Monheit began practice in Birmingham, Alabama in 1977. As the first Mohs surgeon in Alabama, Dr. Monheit places emphasis on reconstruction using the most current techniques to give you both functional and good cosmetic results, especially in sensitive areas of the face and body.
Sara Mahdavi, , BSc, HBSc, RD, MSc, PhD
Dr. Sara Mahdavi is a clinical scientist and a licensed dietitian nutritionist with a post-graduate specialization in Gene-Nutrition and Gene-Drug interaction. Dr. Mahdavi holds a clinical instructor and research appointment with the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Toronto and serves as a scientific advisor on several government, not-for-profit and for profit organizations.
Ivona Percec, MD, Ph.D. is Associate Director, Cosmetic Surgery and Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr. Percec is board certified in Plastic Surgery and sees patients at Penn Plastic Surgery Perelman, Penn Plastic Surgery Tuttleman Center, and Penn Plastic Surgery Bryn Mawr.
Dr. Rod J. Rohrich is an internationally known, highly respected, and skilled plastic surgeon with a global clinical practice at Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute in Dallas, Texas. He is also a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Rohrich has been honored by his peers to be one of the most influential physicians and plastic surgeons in this current era.
Dr. Sherman has been performing eyelid surgery for over twenty years. She is recognized as a top plastic surgeon for eyes and is often invited to teach her innovative approaches to her colleagues at national meetings. She has also been invited overseas to teach these advanced cosmetic techniques to surgeons throughout Russia and China.
Michael Somenek, M.D., is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Washington, D.C. whose practice offers specialized cosmetic and reconstructive services. In addition to his high level of experience and talent, Dr. Somenek is also a compassionate and warm surgeon who finds personal fulfillment in helping patients rejuvenate their appearances and their confidence.
Dr. Susan Weinkle is a skilled surgeon with over 30 years experience. Her active participation in many professional organizations and societies enables her opportunity to share and experience a broad range of the latest treatments and techniques in dermatology. With a passion for teaching, Dr. Weinkle is an assistant clinical professor of Dermatology at the University of South Florida. She has authored numerous articles on skin carcinomas, surgical techniques and cosmetic therapies and also serves on the medical advisory and editorial boards of popular dermatological publications including the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery.
Julie Woodward, MD is the chief of oculofacial surgery at Duke, She specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and orbit as well as the cosmetic laser surgery of the skin. Dr. Woodward has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and several textbooks on cosmetic lasers, injectable fillers, neuromodulators, and benign essential blepharospasm. She speaks frequently at both national and international meetings.

MEET Nina G. Jablonski, PhD
2023 KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Nina Jablonski is a biological anthropologist who is recognized for her contributions to the understanding of the evolution of human skin and skin pigmentation. She received an A.B. in Biology at Bryn Mawr College and a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of Washington, and held academic positions at the University of Hong Kong, The University of Western Australia, and the California Academy of Sciences before joining The Pennsylvania State University where she now holds the position of Evan Pugh University Professor of Anthropology. She is an elected Member of the National Academy of Sciences and of the American Philosophical Society, an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and is the recipient of a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. In addition to a large body of scholarly papers, Jablonski has written two popular books for adults: Skin: A Natural History (2006) and Living Color: The Biological and Social Meaning of Skin Color (2012), as well as a book for children, Skin We Are In (2018). A dedicated public scientist and science educator, Jablonski received an honorary doctorate from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 2010 for her contribution to the worldwide fight against racism.
